Set&Rep privacy policy
In short: Set&Rep has no account and no server. Everything you enter stays on your phone, and we cannot see your data. The free Android version shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google collects some device data to do that. The iPhone version shows no ads.
Who is responsible?
The Set&Rep app is published by ROC Sales AB ("Redneck Engineering"), org. no. 559413-4602, Irsta Stockholmsväg 14, 725 97 Västerås, Sweden. Contact: cj@rocsales.se, (+46) 0702 822 422.
What the app stores
The app stores what you enter yourself, only in a local database on your device:
- sessions, exercises, sets, reps, weights, cardio time and distance;
- your training schedule and history;
- photos you take or pick for your exercises, and selfies you add to your sessions;
- settings such as language and weight unit.
None of this is sent to Redneck Engineering or anyone else. On iPhone the app makes no network connections of its own. On Android the only network traffic comes from Google's advertising SDK and Google Play's purchase system, both described below. Your training data is never part of it.
Ads (Android, free version)
The free Android version shows ads from Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, Google's advertising SDK collects information from your device, including:
- your device's advertising ID and similar device identifiers;
- your IP address, which can indicate your approximate location;
- how you interact with ads and with the app;
- diagnostic information such as crash and performance data.
Google processes this as described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. We do not send Google any of your training data, and we do not receive the data Google collects.
Your choices:
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the app asks for your consent before any ads are requested. You can change your choice at any time in the app's settings.
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings.
- Buying Premium removes all ads. The app then stops requesting ads.
Purchases
Premium is a one-time purchase handled by Google Play. We do not receive your payment details. The app only asks Google Play whether your Google account owns Premium.
Permissions
- Camera and photos — only when you choose to add a picture to an exercise or a selfie to a session. The picture is copied into the app's own storage on the phone.
- Calendar — only if you turn on calendar sync. The app then reads the list of calendars so you can pick one, and adds, moves and removes its own workout events there. It does not read your other events. If the chosen calendar is synced with an online account (for example Google or iCloud), the events follow that account under its provider's terms.
You can deny or revoke these permissions at any time in your phone's settings. The rest of the app keeps working.
Export and import
You can export a backup file with your sessions, exercises, history and photos (selfies included) and share it wherever you like, or import such a file. This only happens when you do it yourself, and the file goes only where you send it.
App stores
When you download the app, Google Play or the App Store processes data about you under their own privacy policies. We may receive aggregated, anonymous statistics from them (for example number of installs and crashes), never your training data.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual sessions, exercises and photos in the app. To delete everything, clear the app's storage in your phone's settings or uninstall the app. Since we don't hold any of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13.
Your rights and contact
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and erase personal data about you. Since the app does not send us any data, we normally hold none. Data collected by Google's advertising SDK is held by Google; you control it through the ad privacy choices in the app and the ad settings in your Google account. If you contact us by email, we process your message to answer you (see our general privacy policy). Questions: cj@rocsales.se. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.
Changes
If the app starts handling data differently, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change is released.
